From manor to three-star hotel
Hotel Restaurant Golf de Saint Junien is established in a former, fully restored manor house and its outbuildings. It is situated in a scenic 80-hectare park with its own 18-hole golf course. It offers the authentic ‘ferme de maître' style, typical of this region, combined with all the facilities of a modern three star hotel. Have a look at the pictures! Would you rather stay right on the edge of the fairway? Why not rent one of our luxury villa's!
The rooms
The hotel offers a total of 23 rooms all with TV, phone, safe, and hair dryer. Most rooms also have internet access via our Wi-Fi network. All rooms have been completely renovated and feature among other things a new bathroom with separate w.c. Several rooms have a private terrace with sun beds and parasols, overlooking the swimming pool or the putting green.
Activities around the hotel
Almost all our guests have only one thing in mind: our beautiful 18-hole golf course. Its most important advantages are the great location with calm, open spaces. No waiting time and no reservations necessary. You can make your way to the green whenever you feel like and even take a break halfway round the course for a tasty lunch, a drink on the terrace with a view to the golf course, or a refreshing dive in our pool. In the lounge, you'll find a pool table and a big flat screen TV. Outside, there is a special area set aside for the other classic bal game: pétanque.
Activities in the area
The huge park that includes Golf de Saint Junien is an adventure in its own right. You may wander as far as you like, and will be pleasantly surprised by panoramas of the hilly landscape so typical of this region. The area beyond the park offers a wide variety of entertainment. There are great opportunities for sporting activities (walking, bicycling, canoeing, horse riding) in the regional natural park Périgord-Limousin. For a more cultural experience you may visit the nearby historical cities of Limoges, Angoulême, and (a little farther) Poitiers. Many other attractions are within your reach as well. If you need any advice about what to do in the area, our English speaking staff will be happy to give you all the information you need.
Restaurant Les Jouberties
A good hotel needs a good restaurant. Ours is not just good, it's excellent. We have no reservations in making such a statement since head chef Mr Steentjes has taken charge of our kitchen. Mr Steentjes worked for some of the best top chefs in Michelin restaurants and worked as a head chef in a distinguished Amsterdam restaurant until 2007. Now he expresses his culinary talents in the modern and warm atmosphere of ‘Les Jouberties'.
