If you are one who views golf as a friendly, wholesome way to let off steam, you will feel perfectly at home at Golf de Saint Junien. To be sure, our course offers everything you need to perfect your handicap... but there is no need to focus solely on golf.

Challenging course with matching facilities
What initially strikes visiting golfers is the superb location of our golf course. Newcomers to the site find major challenges in adapting to the hilly terrain. A different choice of clubs is required, different golf techniques and not least getting used to the strain on one's calves. Once these hurdles are overcome, the verdict is unanimous: a great course, magnificent views, a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. There are good reasons why some of our most frequent guests travel 500 miles up to 3 or 4 times a year in order to enjoy the sheer serenity of the ambience.

No golf license required
An important indication of our relaxed approach to the game is that playing here does not require a golf license. This means that beginners can get to the green without having to present a piece of paper. This is also a practicality for more experienced players who like to bring their friends along to learn the game. There is no pressure involved in taking your time and spending a few days to see if you have what it takes to be a golfer.

Playing golf without pressure
We always advise absolute beginners to take an introductory course such as those provided by our in-house ‘Pros' : the Dutch Roel Bijl and French Bertrand Cornut. In order to get as much fun as possible from golfing it is necessary to acquire a minimum of knowledge of the techniques used. However, taking a course is by no means an obligation, and our regular guests, as well as golfers, can simply enjoy the informality and hospitality of the hotel. This is also thanks to the low pressure attitude on our course. There is always enough room to accomodate all needs.

The 'inner man'
Talking about accomodating the guests... after the 9th hole, golf teams often take a break to get to Les Jouberties, our restaurant with its sunny terrace. Here one can enjoy a cool drink or a cup of tea, a tasty snack or even a large lunch. The remaining holes will wait patiently for your return. Equally, Les Jouberties is the place to be when you are ready to conclude your day in enjoying our extensive regional menu. In this informal setting, getting acquainted with other sportsmen and sportswomen is easy. Golf de Saint Junien offers a warm welcome to those willing to share their field experiences.

2009 Golf Clinics - Roel de Bijl
In the coming year, several Golf Clinics at Golf de Saint Junien will be hosted by Dutch PGA Professional B Roel de Bijl (pronounced 'rule de bile'). Roel, who was trained at the Dutch Van Swinderen College and has his own Pro Golf company. This is the fifth year that Roel organises clinics all over Europe.

Our pro : Bertrand Cornut
Ancient Professional France champion (2004) and member of the French PGA team at the world championship by team (2009), Bertrand Cornut will be happy to share with you his passion and his knowledge. You will work in good conditions with an 8 station covert practice, a large zone on the grass and a video-based work. You will benefit from his experience as a professional player (since 1997) to improve your swing and your small play.

Golfvillas to buy...                                                                                                                                                        4 different villas stand along the fairway. You can buy these villas to live there permanently or choose to rent them and quickly make a profit.
